About Dogs Trust

Who we are

Dogs Trust, along with our incredible supporters, won’t rest until we make Ireland a safe and happy place for dogs, so we never have to let any dog down. We’re here for all dogs and the people who love them and believe that dogs are a precious part of life and living. They give us so much - companionship, love, joy, wellbeing and assistance!

What we do

Dogs Trust is Ireland's largest dog welfare charity. Since establishing our rehoming centre in November 2009, together with our supporters, we have rehomed over 21,000 dogs in Ireland. Working with local authority pounds and animal welfare charities across Ireland, we take in abandoned and neglected dogs who, through no fault of their own, need help getting back on their paws.

As well as rescuing dogs who have lost their home, we strive to keep dogs in their homes. We deliver free workshops nationwide through our education programme. Dogs Trust believes that by educating the public on how to understand their dogs' needs and behave safely and responsibly around dogs we can improve the lives of dogs across the country.

Get involved

Dogs Trust does not receive any Government funding towards our life-saving work, so none of this would be possible without the continued commitment and generosity of our donors and supporters. We simply could not continue our efforts without them.

So rest assured, when you buy from, you are doing something incredible for dogs in urgent need across Ireland that deserve a second chance at a happy life.  And there are lots of other ways you can support our work too.
